Prenatal Wounds and Sins
Part one

As we mature, we interpret experiences with our mind; but, before we have developed intellect with which to reason, we have a spirit within us. As we begin to form within the womb, that breath from God which is the core of our essence begins to respond sensitively to the world around it, thus, we are able to be wounded and to sin in response to hurts
received in the womb.

As the right-to-choose movement grows, it is important to understand the truth about God given life, spiritual as well as physical within the womb. This lesson presents both the scriptural base and modem research supporting our belief that unborn children are vested with a personal spirit at conception, and are able to sense and understand the nature of the world around them; and thus capable of sin.

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God Psalms 22:9-10

Can we sin in our personal spirits?

Yes! To sin is to miss the mark. Scripture indicates we do sin in our personal spirits, which were given to us at conception.

Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit Psalm 32:2

"Create in me a pure heart, 0 God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me?' Psalm
51:10

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you... "Ezekiel 36:26-27

"A generation that did not prepare its heart, and whose spirit was not faithful to God?' Psalms 78:8

Let us clean ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit.
ll Corinthians 7:1

Can we sin within the womb? Yes! We are sinners from the beginning.

"Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies." Psalms 58:3

"Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth. Isaiah48:8

God gives us our spirit.

"The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gave me life"

Job 33:4

The spirit gives life to the body.

"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is death " James 2:26 God gives us understanding in our spirit.

But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Job32:8 NKJ

Our spirit is eternal.

"And the dust returns to the ground and the spirit returns to God... "Ecclesiastes 12:7

Elizabeth fostered her child in the womb.

In biblical times, pregnant women spent a great deal of time in peaceful seclusion, believing the child's character is formed during the first three months in the womb. They spent this time praying, meditating and singing psalms to the Lord.

Modern research confirms that there is active life in the womb.

Thomas Verney confirms Scripture in his book, The Secret Life 0f the Unborn Child; his extensive research indicates.

o Unborn babies hear, taste, feel and learn in the womb.

o Womb experiences shape a child's attitude and expectations about himself.

o Deep, persistent patterns of feeling in the mother affect the unborn child.

o Father's feelings about wife and unborn child also affect pregnancy.

o If the womb is friendly, a baby may be predisposed to good health, happiness and normal development; if the womb is unfriendly, the baby may be predisposed to ill health, nervousness, irritability, and arrested development.

Research indicates that babies are keenly aware of mother's feelings.

Ambivalent emotions such as wanting a child, but disliking pregnancy, or wanting to be a mother, but fearing the delivery, worrying about money, yet trusting in God to provide, creates confusion in the baby's ability to filly take hold of life. The baby may come forth listless, shy, or very reserved. He/she may be unsure of if, or where he/she fit in.

There is evidence of remembered womb experiences, such as actual memories of birth trauma, induced labor, and breech birth. As well as dreams representing womb experiences.

There are behaviors in infancy, childhood and adulthood, which correspond directly to known womb experiences

Verney reports on infants refusing to bond with mother's who rejected them in the womb.

Sound has an impact on the unborn

Quarreling, yelling, screaming, and loud noises can have adverse effects. It has been noted that music also effects the unborn child. Works by Vivaldi and Mozart are calming; Beethoven and rock music cause kicking, and violent motions in the womb.

Interesting study correlating abortion attempt and teenage suicide

One psychiatric study revealed a correlation between time of year when the mother tried to abort and the time of year the teenager tried to commit suicide. There was also a correlation between methods. It was noted that a mother's attempted abortion by sharp instrument, or chemical, correlated with the method of attempted suicide of the teenager; either by overdose or sharp object i.e., knife, razor etc.

Research tells us that even the planning of an abortion does harm to the child. Those who do choose abortion also suffer from the consequences of this sin, such as guilt, shame, loss and loneliness, or experience an inability to feel. A hardened heart may be a result of this choice.

The healing of prenatal wounds will be discussed in the next chapter.

Healing for those who have had abortions

Recognition:

The individual must understand that what they did was commit murder. It wasn't a mistake, or a procedure. Do not let them blame parents or partner. We cannot allow them to avoid responsibility for what they did. We must own it, to disown it! Don't allow them to side step or get around this fact. Only when they have owned it, and repented can they receive his/her full pardon. It is important to note that the male must also take responsibility for this murder as well.

Lead the person in asking God's forgiveness for murdering his/her baby. Assure the person that Jesus loves him/her and that he/she is forgiven.

Prenatal Wounding and Sins
Part Two

While in the womb, unborn children may absorb a variety of wounding experiences. In their spirits they may react with defensiveness, resentment, aggression, distrust, or withdrawal, and grow to adulthood expressing attitudes still lodged in their hearts.

This lesson explores the conditions, symptoms and healing of four common in-utero experiences.

o When a child is conceived out of wedlock

o When the parents perception is that this child has come at a bad time

o When a child is perceived to be the "wrong" sex

o When a child is put up for adoption

In each of these cases, a child may react wrongly to the woundings and Thus later in life reap the consequences of sin in the womb. Special emphasis on the problems of adoption gives PDM's tools with which to help adoptive parents bring their adopted children to life.

Thy face, 0 lord, I shall seek.... For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me up. Psalms 2 7:8,10

Important Reminder

It is not what happens to a child inside or outside the womb, but how a child responds to the experiences of life. Not all children with similar womb experiences react in the same way. God-given temperament and grace can intervene.

o Parental inversion: A burden-bearing child who senses mother's and father's hurt may come out of the womb taking responsibility for the guilt, shame, blame and confusion of the parents,

Healing the wounding in this area:

Recognition of the problem takes place by the examination of the fruit. Help the client understand the relationship between in-utero sins and wounds and the current problems or fruit. Help them to see how they are reaping what has been sown.

Ask the client to renounce every word curse spoken over him./her while he/she was in the womb. Be specific, i.e., "that I was a mistake, that I was an accident, that I should be dead, that my timing was bad, that I am to blame for my parents embarrassment, shame, guilt, that I am an intrusion, burden, or hindrance in my parents' lives. Have the client repent for any bitterness in he/she that was formed in the womb.

Have the client forgive parents, every family member, every doctor, nurse and technician. Have the client say "I set them all free, now I accept the report of the Lord that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I was called before the foundation of the world, called by my first name by Father God according to His purpose and His Glory. I choose life, I choose life, I choose life! I put to death on the cross all habits patterns and structures that binder my walk with the Lord, i.e., death wish, accident proneness, performance orientation, parental inversion,
and any sense of illegitimacy.

There are no illegitimate children, just sinful parents Deuteronomy 23:2

Now speak God's forgiveness over them. Say, "because you have forgiven, God can
forgive you, I flood your soul of souls with the forgiveness of Almighty God, in Jesus'
Holy name. You are not an accident, a burden or a mistake. You are a gift and joy from Almighty God."

Ask the Lord to cleanse all ambivalence off the client's spirit, so that he/she can take hold of life without hesitation.

When the child is the wrong sex

The spirit of the child in the womb knows that he/she is not who the parents wanted.
Some of the symptoms of not being the right sex are:

o Death wish

o Performance Orientation and a sense of futility -
"I can never please."

o Rebellion,
why should I even try?

o Confusion, especially in regard to gender, such as tomboy or being very effeminate. There can be a confusion of sexual polarities.

o Shame, in regard to their-own sex. "I an a mistake!"

o Secrecy, detachment, excessive privacy. If I let you see me and know me you will reject me. I have been rejected in the womb, and I know that I will be rejected when I come out. Some of the problems that may arise as adults are agoraphobia, or an irrational fear of open or public places.

When praying for those who were made to feel that they were the wrong sex, remember that his/her heart must be healed and
thinking must be changed.

o Ask God to speak to the child within. Remind the client that the Lord never makes a mistake. He chose him/her before the foundation of the world. He called him/her by name and planned
what sex they should be.

o Pray to set the person free from the lie
that they are the wrong sex.

o Call the person into the fullness of their manhood/ womanhood. Do this several times during the session,
and always in Jesus' Holy name.

o Ask the Lord to heal the traumas of teasing, ridicule, and criticism in regard to masculinity for a woman and effeminacy for a man.

o Invite the person to forgive their parents for wanting a different child.

o Invite the person to confess and repent of any judgements against them.

o Invite the person to renounce any word curse spoken over them in the womb, and speak forgiveness over anyone who might have cursed them, then have the client receive their forgiveness.

o Pray that the Lord reaches down into the client's spirit and straightens the crossed polarities of sexual confusion. Have the client see two poles. Ask them to see, man written on one and woman, written on the other. Have them see these poles crossed, or confused. Ask him/her to renounce all sexual confusion and as they do this, ask them to see the poles uncrossed and set up straight, by the power of God,

o Assign disciplines that choose and affirm the sexual identity of the person, i.e., buying a pretty dress for the female and playing baseball for the male.

When a child is given up for adoption
The spirit of an unborn child knows rejection even in the womb. The newborn knows by the spirit that he/she is not with natural parents, and often yearns for them; symptoms are:

o Death wish, and performance orientation.

o Fear of rejection may cause an adopted child to need too much love or reject love all together.

o Pathological lying can occur due to the unborn being lied to (when conceived a covenant is assumed that you loved, and wanted me or you would have never conceived me) This is a judgement in the womb that parent's lied. Romans 2:1

Kleptomania occurs when the unborn judges that, which was rightfully theirs was stolen.
"You stole my right to a safe and secure family life."

o Identity Crisis may occur and exhibit fruit of trying to be everything to everyone and "Now I have no idea of who I really am."

Praying for healing of adopted children

o Help them to recognize wounds and sins

o Lead them to confession/repentance/forgiveness

o Pray having the client renounce his/her death wish, P0, Anger, sense of rejection, renouncing and crushing vows that" No one will ever get close enough to hurt me again."

o Help the client identify with the Lord, who knew rejection throughout His own life.

FOLLOW THE FRUIT TO the ROOT, and ALWAYS SEEK THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AS YOU GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS.

At some point, adopted children may "need" to find their natural parents. Finding birth parents may help the client resolve their identity crisis, bring closure, and give them real people to forgive.

There is hope in the Lord.

God brings us into this world. He breathed life into us. He chose us, planned us, and called us by our name. If God did not breathe life into us, we would simply be a sex act.
We are not a mistake of nature, nor a biological accident. Father God called us according to His purpose and glory.

OLD TESTAMENT

Deuteronomy 23:2 (NAS) - No one of illegitimate birth shall enter the assembly of the Lord; none of his descendants, even to the tenth generation, shall enter the assembly of the Lord.

Job 32:8 - But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.

Job 33:4-The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Psalm 10:14 - But you, 0 God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

Psalm 22:9-10 - Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made met rust in you even at my mother's breast. From birth I was cast upon you; from my mothers womb you have been my God.

Psalm 27:10 (NAS) - For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me up.

Psalm 32:2- Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a pure heart, 0 God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 58:3 - Eve from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.
Psalm 68:5-6 - A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Cod sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

Psalm 78:8 - They would not be like their forefathers-a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him.

Psalm 139 -0 LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, 0 LORD.
You hem me in- behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me; your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, 0 God! How vast is the sum of them! Were Ito count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you. If only you would slay the wicked,

0 God! Away from me, you bloodthirsty men! They speak of you with evil intent;

your adversaries misuse your name. Do I not hate those who hate you, 0 LORD, and abhor those who rise up against you? I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. Search me, 0 God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Proverbs 16:18 - Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit
before a fall.

Proverbs 25:28 - Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.
