This prayer can be spoken by counselee to renounce a
personal or Corporate stronghold, or by the counselor tempted by the
same stronghold. Lord, thank you for revealing the presence of this stronghold of, and name
specifically. It is blocking my thinking and keeping me from
knowing Your truth. Thank you for showing me how I have participated in this
pattern of thinking /behavior. I confess I have (describe participation)
and I ask Your forgiveness. You have shown me the destruction and the cost of
the damage to those I love. You have opened my eyes. I repent, Lord, of the hurt I have caused and the damage I have done. Father,
assist me in the process of identifying the bitter roots which made me
vulnerable to this stream of thought and behavior. I commit myself to doing all
I can to restore relationships to You and those I love. Renew my mind, Lord. Lord, I ask you to wash me, and keep me hidden in You so I am no longer
seduced by this stronghold. I renounce this thought pattern, and I renounce the
behaviors accompanying it. I choose to imitate Jesus Christ, and submit my mind
to the working of the Holy Spirit. COUNSELOR In Jesus name, I bind this stronghold of ______________over ____________‘s
